She’s here!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce you all to Talia.  She is one week old today and she is a very sweet little baby. I will bring her in to class once she builds a bit of an immune system.  I hope that everyone enjoys their spring break.

Thank you

Thank you so much for a great half a year! Your generous gift will definitely be put to good use.

I have really enjoyed working with this group of students, and I will visit the class in the next couple of months.

Thanks again,

Mme Munns

This week

Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who are driving us tomorrow on our field trip to the Richmond Art Gallery. We will be leaving just after 9am. It should be a lot of fun.

Also, as it’s my last week with the students, we have decided to have a small celebration on Thursday. I will be bringing in some frozen yogurt and ice cream along with bowls and spoons. Students are invited to bring in sundae toppings such as fruit and granola. No nuts please. We will also be dancing to all the great rock and roll songs that we have been studying over the past couple of months.

Just a reminder that Friday is a professional development day. Mme Loades will be starting on Monday and she is super excited to get to know division 16.

Looking forward to a great last week.

Thank you for all your support,

Mme Munns

Pen pals

Good afternoon,

Some students have shown an interest in corresponding with an international pen pal. I found a website for students called Students of the World, http://www.studentsoftheworld.info/menu_penpals.php. If you and your child are interested, please help get them started. I encouraged the students to pick a pen pal from a French speaking country.

Thank you,

Mme Munns

Happy New Year!

Welcome back! The students seem happy to be back in class, and we’re getting back into the swing of things.

I wanted to let everyone know that we raised a total of $632 for Doctors without Borders, thanks to all the students’ hard work.

I will be teaching until late February. I will keep you updated when I find out who will be taking over for me. Whoever it is will be fortunate to work with such a great group of kids.

I hope everyone had a great break,

Mme Munns
